What are these weird cuts on by my nails?

its called a hang nail its like a piece of skin thats been bit or riped stop chewing on ur nails
and who dosent know what a hang nail is!?
 
Hi I have these weird cut things by my fingernail that I've since I was like 4.

My dad has it too. He asked my doctor when I in 2nd grade what they were and he said it was genetic.

It doesn't bleed unless I pick at it for a while.

What are they and how to you get rid of them? They like come and go.
it's not a hangnail. It's below my nail sometimes and the doctor said it wasn't. Duh.
