I'm always getting these flesh colored bumps on my face, forehead, and front of my scalp. Some of them itch and some don't. There's not a ton of them but there's enough of them that it's a problem for me.

They're all flesh colored and if I squeeze them, clear fluid comes out. A lot of them itch too.

My Dr. said it's clogged pores. I've been on accutane 3 times, right now I'm using solodyn for 2.5 weeks now, BP 10% face wash for 1 month, and finacea for about 2 weeks. The finacea seems to help some but it's definately not curing it.

Also, the problem seems to get a lot worse if I sweat and it's hot out.

What is it?

i know exactly what you are talking about. the same thing happenes to me. i have no idea what it is, but it's really annoying! i'm also on prescriptions and you would think that they would take of this problem. it is so frustrating.....if you find any info out please let me no.

thanx

I've dealt with random red itchy bumps on my face, chest, and upper back for 10 years. It almost drove me crazy trying to figure out what caused this and after going to 3 dermatologists who never helped me, I FINALLY figured out that smoking cigarettes caused my itchies. I quit for a month....no itchies......started back itchies from hell.

SounRAB like milia. Milia isn't acne, it's small bumps (flesh colored or slightly white) that are caused when dead skin get trapped in little pockets at the surface of the skin. The dead skin gets trapped when your skin isn't naturally exfoliating enough. When you squeeze them, clear liquid comes out... but it doesn't help. You really shouldn't squeeze them as it will cause scaring (and, like I said, it will not help - ever). You have to let them go away on their own or a doctor/derm can extract them.

One thing that can help get rid of them & prevent them is gentle exfoliation with a face scrub. Retin-A also helps as it encourages exfoliation. Products with glycolic acid can also help (ex. a cleanser with AHA and/or BHA).

SounRAB like Roseatia (sp?) to me. It primarily affects the scalp and forehead area... and the fact that it gets worse when you sweat and when it's hot out confims the likelyhood of Roseatia as well. Heat causes Roseatia to break out.

The bummer about Roseatia is that folks who get it will have to deal with it for most the rest of there life. There is a remedy that clears it up pretty good... doxyclicline and MetroGel topical.

Best of luck. :)

Can you describe these itchy bumps that you once had? Color, texture, dry? How long were you smoking? Do you excessively drink alcohol as well? The reason I'm curious is because I'm going through the same thing and my last resort is quiting smoking. I know smoking is overall bad, but just want to know more about your discovery. Doctors weren't able to help along with their medications that made things worse. I'm actually running out of ideas and been spending excessive money guessing what would cause this. Your help would appreciated.
