DUI in maryland? My husband got his first DUI offense with a few other charges..
-2 DUI
-1 DWI
-2Negligent driving
-1 second degree assault on an officer.
I'll explain the situation. He was driving home from the bar, had 5 beers one shot. Hit a patch of ice and ran onto and ice bank someone had cut him off. Apparently from what the officers said he denied medical attention. He told me the next day that he had not received any medical attention no ambulances at scene. But we are not trying to go against the officers, The thing is with the second degree assault the officer claimed he threw a shoe, he claims he slid it to the officer and it hit his foot, basically i don't really want to get into to all of that. Months of me being pissed about it. But anyways, we hired a lawyer a former state senator with alot of pull in the court system has gotten many people out of cases. I want to know if there is any possibility of jail time or if it's more likely to be a probation. Our first child is due September 18. We just got married and since the night of the accident he has not had another drink in his system and he is very focused on staying sober and doing the right thing. Please give me some good advice, experience, etc. Court is coming up next month and i'm terrified i'm going to be at the hospital without my husband delivering our son.
