baptism? My husband & I are godparents. His father is away doing time, mom has the child. We always remember birthdays & xmas. She's always called to "tell" us what sizes of clothing & shoes he's currently in so that we "buy" him what i feel is the "parent's responsibility". We give him age appropriate, educational but fun board games, movies, toys,etc. Now that he entered prek she called to tell us brand & style of shoes to buy him, of course we gave in & bought them. But we have our own child to take care of & don't know how to address this w/out any resentment from her. Please help us!
