I live in oregon, and go through Fort Lewis for no-fee passports and everything else needed to move to Germany. My husband was stationed in Vilseck, Germany, and recently deployed to Afghanistan. My single child and myself are trying to move ourselves over to Germany along with a POV and HHG.. I got an e-mail 2 days ago from our FRL leader we have been approved!! and now, i dont know who to call or what step to take to get to germany. I know I need to be briefed.. obtain our no-fee passports that are ready and waiting at the welcome center, ship my POV, get in touch with the shipping office to have them pack our stuff and ship it, and set/recieve a date for our plane tickets. I also know i need to call the lodging office in Vilseck, Germany and inform them we are comming, but im not sure when to do that, or what documents they will need. I need to call the housing office to get on the waiting list. All i need are phone numbers and instructions on what steps to take. The drive to fort lewis is hard with a child, and i want to minimize the visits as much as possible, living in a different state.. If anyone can give me any insight i would appriciate it much! thank you
