What are the revenue sources for a small internet business company, which does not have partnership with a bigger firm.
Suppose you have a site which gives the users information regarding a particular topic and does not charge anything.
Now, since this site just gives the information regarding a particular topic and does not help any other firm, it does not have any tie up.
So, what could be the possible sources of revenue for it apart from advertising(which will come only when the website becomes popular).
For Ex, Take Orkut or any social networking site which is as popular as Orkut...probably Linkedin, or Chakpak, and does not have a tie up with anybody..Now, what would be there revenue sources?
If you see some travel booking sites, they can probably tie up with hotels or airlines to share the profits on the hotels/air tickets booked by them, but what about the companies having no tie ups, and for general use,
When they go to the venture capitalists, what will be the source of revenue that they can show?
