What are the scariest moments in animated movies in your opinion?

For me, my choices are:

"Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs": Now what kid that had seen this movie wouldn't be terrified of the sequence where Snow White is in the woods?

"The Black Cauldron": The army of the dead rising from their graves.

"The Secret of NIMH": The large rat at the entry of the Rat's place that attacked Mrs. Brisby.

"The Last Unicorn": Mommy Fortuna herself and the Red Bull's appearence.

"Fantasia": Night on Bald Mountain.

"Pinocchio and the Emperor of the Night": The absolutely horrifying scene where the evil puppeteer Puppetino magically tortures Pinocchio and changes him slowly into a Puppet and this scene is an example:

Scooby Do, seeing that horrid Aztec/Native American/voo doo thing with the seven tufted totem poles on its head, the teeth and those eyes each time Mystery Inc. walked past it, yet it hid the captured Prof. Jameson Hyde White.
 
The whole "Big Ben" sequence in Great Mouse Detective used to scare me as a kid. Nowadays it's one of my favorite scenes from the movie.
 
I can't say I've ever been scared of anything I've seen in an animated film,even as a kid....though I can think of scenes that other people might find scary....

"Night on Bald Mountain"....The demons/undead/monsters are pretty scary-looking.....had I seen Fantasia when I was really young,this might've scared me,but I first saw it when I was 11....

Charlie's Nightmare about going to Hell from All Dogs Go To Heaven....I loved the deep voice that says "YOU CAN NEVER GOOO BAAACKKK"
 
The giant oozing teddy bear scene in Akira.

That seriously messed me up for a good couple of weeks after seeing it. Of course I was only maybe 10-11 at the time, so I was pretty impressionable.

Some of the stuff in Animatrix was pretty messed up too. I would have to think a bit more on that to remember what actually freaked me out about that specifically.

Oh, and probably the most terrifying scene in any animated film... The vision of the destruction of the warren in Watership Down. Holy crap, that is still probably one of the more disturbing animations I can recall seeing.
 
For me as a kid, it would have to be the scene from The Land Before Time when Cera found the T-Rex/Sharp Tooth unconcious, and then smacked it around until it woke up. She would have dumped her pants if she had any.
 
I saw that at the age of 15. The whole movie messed me up for weeks, and to this day. Not so much that the whole movie, is scary (though I do find most of it is scary), but it was the first R rated animated movie I saw. And i was awestruck. If not for the fact I don't want to watch the movie again, I'm willing to say what's that it's one of the most amazing films I've ever seen.
 
The Brave Little Toaster - The toaster's nightmare about the bathtub and the clown.

All Dogs Go To Heaven - When Charlie dreams of going to hell.

Heavy Traffic - Michael's vision after he gets shot in the head.
 
Oooh, "Brave Little Toaster" how could i ever forget? damn, i just realize now that i remembered watching this on the Disney Channel and that clown nightmare terrified me.
 
It depends on what you mean by "scary".

I could say that the scariest moment in animated movies was...the creation of Shrek, or the broadcast of Who Framed Roger Rabbit on Cartoon Network.

Instead, I'll say this:

Even though it was only implied, I would have to say one of the scariest moments was when Christy "died" for a few minutes in the second Care Bears movie (again though, it was only implied).

I can't however cite anything that scared me to death or anything like that. I tend to stay away from movies (live-action or animated) that have the potential to have such moments.
 
What was wrong with Roger Rabbit airing on CN? It contained a lot of animation, and was about animation. Do you object to CN airing Space Ghost: Coast 2 Coast, The Banana Splits, and Osmosis Jones?
 
Oh i forgot to mention Maleficent's dragon transformation in "Sleeping Beauty".

And did anyone found the Pinocchio and the Emperor of the Night Puppet scene i put on more disturbing then the Donkey Change in "Disney's Pinocchio"?

Anyway, that's enough about that.

I suppose one "scary" moment was when Fievel got separated from his family in "An American Tail". However, that was only scary in the sense that he might never see his family again (although most people know the resolution to that...).
 
the pink elephant scene in Dumbo used to disturber me when I was little and to this day I wonder what on earth Joe Grant was thinking when it was made.

but the most scary scene in an animated film for me is when Fidget jumps out of the baby basket in The Great Mouse Detective. I saw that scene on you tube not to long ago and screamed out loud because I wasn't expecting it.
 
Lady Tremain in Cinderella STILL scares me. She's just so... evil... and not in a "witch black magic" sort of way. She's a great Disney villain.
