driving a rental car; caught by camera? A relative of mine has just arrived from another country. Rental cars are available for use for almost (if not all) any kind of non-US drivers license such as F.I.A. (Federation Internationale el' Automobile, the governing body, based in Europe, responsible of worldwide automotive and transportation sanctions such as racing license and international country-to-country drivers licenses) accredited International License holding drivers.
Question is that my relative is quite doubtful of his driving habits and "brave" (rather lacking in concern for other motorists), BUT NOW with fears of getting caught via sophisticated US traffic cams.
Since he is new to our country, sometimes taking directions and making turns to different places becomes a difficulty; he has a tendency to cut thru lanes (when he suddenly realizes he might over pass the place he is meant to go and would swerve to catch up the intended road) and worst - miss stop signs!!!
If ever he is caught via traffic camera, how can he possibly get a penalty? Will this reflect on the payments/fees after he returns the car to the rental service center?
Hope we can clear his mind! Thanks!
