What are the parts needed for a car stereo system?

I'm saving up to buy a new system. I want make sure I have everything to make it sound good, and I don't want to be cheated out of anything. So I need to know the different parts and maybe some websites where I could find good name brands for less money. Thank you!

wire harness for stero,1/0 or 4 gauge thick power wire inline fuse ground wire remote wire subs box amp wires for sub rca jacks a good battery and alternator a car and lots of money
