What are the most gothic cultures in your opinion past or present?

as in any kind of cultures in saying gothic i mean dark creepy kind of thing not just gothic as in victorian edwardian era because i know that is english and thats not my question im just trying to find out because lately ive been looking up alot about voodoo which is an example
 
I would have to say the GOTHS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the original barbarian hoard. they were dark and destructive.
