What are the long term effects of prolonged PPI use. (Omeprazole )?

If you are on Proton Pump Inhibitors e.g. Omeprazole 30mg, are there long term side effects with continous use.

I have been taking it daily for 5 years and have had no ill effects at all. When I went into hospital for an op a month ago I was still allowed to take it.
