What are the laws on having a party in my field?

I own a field and am interested in having largeish outdoor parties with loud music.

What are the laws on this?

If its a private party do require a license of any sort?
 
Not sure but i don't think you would need a licence to hold a private party in a place you own.

The only problem i can see is if theres people living close by who will complain about the music.Then it's possible people would come round measure the decibals and see if your music is to loud and you could possibly get done for noise pollution.
