Genderal Ranking there is no Order
There is really no set order. Every Dojo has a different ranking system. Most of it is based on style of teaching, teaching methods and retention styles. In Shotokan Karate it usually the following ranks.
White
Yellow
Orange
Green
Blue
Purple
Brown 3
Brown 2
Brown 1
Black
That is usually the general idea. But it varies from school to school.
