Well, there are many human impacts to the environment. One of the most major impacts human have to the environment is pollution. Pollution can have many forms and sources. Perhaps one of the most critical sources of human-generated pollution in the world today is the problem of solid waste. Wherever humans dwell, waste will surely be generated. These wastes can come in the form of food waste, yard waste, industrial waste, paper, cans, etc. These wastes have to be managed & handled properly to mitigate the impacts they have on our environment. One of the ways to manage wastes is to bury it at landfills. But today, there's not much area left for landfills in certain areas, and siting a landfill is a problematic procedure. Once a landfill has been set up, it has to be run according to best practices to ensure it does not cause excessive pollution.
