I hope to go back to college in a few years (at the longest) to become a teacher of special education, probably a TVI (teacher of the visually impaired), though I also want to work with children with autism.
I know I could get a degree in special education, and specialize in the disabilities I want, but what are other options of degree programs? What are the broad covering programs (I think there's a 'disability studies' program?), and what are the specific programs relating to very narrow categories within the disabled community/ career field?
Thanks all for any knowledge you can provide!
