What are the current fashion trends in London and New York 2009?

I am seeing leggings and high waisted skirts everywhere in London, but is it the same for New York. Has it not changed? What is everyone wearing nowadays?
 
I don't know but I do know of some awesome outfits you could make. You could buy any color sweater, with cacki pants, and a coat jacket over the sweater. It looks really nice and modern. Hope I was some help even though I didn't answer the question.
 
High waisted skirts and shorts, shirts and dresses with sequins, belts, animal prints, satin shirts with ruffles and dresses, shoulder pads.
