priced drinks after 8:00 in SC? Licensees may not offer two-or-more-for-the-price-of-one drink specials and may not give free
mixed drinks, beer or wine. Regular drink prices may be reduced between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00p.m.. This is the law as written. Where I work we sell 1/2 priced bottles of wine all day and night until we close at 10p.m.. We just found out yesterday that this violates the SC state law above. My question is what are the consequences if caught and how would we remedy this without losing customers? My manager and I both think it would be in our best interests to just give the discounted price 4p.m.-8p.m. during happy hour. However, our owners want to take their chances. I want some hard evidence to discourage them and maybe some suggestions on how to deal with the "But I was here 2 week ago and you did it." customers.
