it depends on the people involved. dont ever let anyone influence your thoughts or worries. I have see the best of both worlds. I was in love with a guy who left for basic. i supported him thru it all and ended up marrying him the day he graduated. We lived together for 2 years and i moved accross the world for him. Unfortunately, he chose the military over me, and our relationship failed. We divorced, and later on, I joined the military myself. Now I see military wives with how lonely they are, and I see myself back then. I see it from the point of view OF the soldier now, and I understand how hard it truely was to manage a family and a military career. I am in a relationship now with another military member and I think its the healthiest ive ever been in. He is deployed so it is long distanc, but we both understand more. If you guys get married... make SURE you go on base and get in with the wives groups they offer. it may sound stupid, but they are the only people who you have something in common with. i didnt know about these programs so it was an extremely boring life. get envolved. there are soooooooooo many benefits for you too!
