When I watch a presidential debate, afterwards, the two candidates started whispering stuff to each other, and smiling and laughing. You can't hear what they're saying because the applause drowns them out, or the news commentators starts talking. I wonder what they say to each other.

Talk shows do this too. Right before they go to commercials, they start talking about something that looks interesting. It would be great if we could actual hear these conversations.

Probably making a joking remark about how the battle is dragging out or good luck or something to that nature.

Swearing. No, my actual guess would be something inane, congratulating each other on a great debate, etc. - I would get so tired being a politician, having to say all manner of falseness.

"Let's act like we really like each other, and laugh as if we were sharing an inside joke."

Talk show hosts and their guests do that all of the time, to leave a positive impression upon the viewers.

Politics is a huge pretense. Privately, a lot of politicians who scream at each other are friends. Frankly, I think they must be insane.

Obama told an aide before a campaign stop, "watch the white people fawn over me"

can you believe these people really believe anything we have to say?look at how they blindly clap for us muah haha!!

I've always assumed they say things to each other like, "That comment you made about veterans was really good," or "Can you believe this guy cut me off in the middle of a sentence," or "Hey camera 2 is on you, big smile, big smile."
