What are the best options for adding a second TV (either freeview or virgin)?

Hi, my main TV is cable through virgin media. I would like to add a second TV in the kitchen with built in freeview. Can i run a lead from my wall socket aerial into the 2nd TV or will the reception be poor? There is no roof top aerial so I'm not sure where the signal comes from and whether the analogue switch off will affect it. Alternatively, do you know what the options are for virgin providing the equipment (is it a multi cable modem??) and how much they're likely to charge for a second TV receiving their channels.
