what are the best fish to to keep with clown fish?

try getting a pair of clownfish if you have the room. gobies, blennies, cardinalfish should all be okay. clownfish are known to love anemones but don't always pair up with them because they're not caught in the wild. i would just go with whatever coral you like, and not what you think the clown fish will like. i recommend soft corals and mushrooms.
 
Other peaceful fish (unless it's a tomato or maroon clown). Very large coral specimens that won't be disturbed if the clowns pick them as a surrogate host. Do not use tube anemones or elephant ear corals as both will eat clownfish and most other fish (even tangs!).
