What are the best financial investment?

im looking for a high return but low risk investment. i know the economy is bad but i need to save for living expenses due to losing a loved one. any advise would be helpful.
 
Your 1st sentence states what kind of investment that you
are looking for & there are plenty of companies out there
with relative hi return/low risk.To find them do your homework...read The Wall Street Journal, Business Week & other well respected financial publications. Stay away
from brokers-they are trying to sell you something. You stated that your money is 'tight' & yes, this economy is bad.
Under these circumstance a CD(Certificate of Deposit)
may be best for you now. Rates maybe between 2 and 3.5% for a 60 month CD. You check the current rate and
length of maturities. Investing is for the Long Term. It's your
money so do your due deligence and be as sure as you can
before spending your hard earned ducats!
