What Are The Best Clippers To Use When Grooming A Dog?

I have two Miniature Schnauzer and they have really thick hair that becomes matted easily. I can't really afford to take them to the groomers right now. I was wondering does anyone know the best clippers to use on dogs with thick matted hair? Please Help.
 
I have several Mini Schnauzers,but my Schnauzers coat doesn't get matted,because I clip them about once a month.The best clippers I have found is the Andis 2 speed.
