My boyfriend wants to get a condo rather than a house because he says that whatever goes wrong in the building (e.g. if the pipes burst), the condo association is responsible for it. What happens if the dishwasher or garbage disposal breaks in the condo? Will we have to pay for it, or will the condo association do it? What are some other advantages to getting a condo vs. getting a house?
