So I just bought a 54 inch Panasonic plasma television (tc-54ps14) today. Already I popped it out of the box and tuned down the contrast, it's running a movie right now in full zoom (so no letter boxes) Going to try and fill up the 200 hour conditioning asap. I have a few questions that I'd like to ask, so that I know what to do to prevent any misfortunes:
1- I know that Plasma TV's have come far enough to where burn-ins aren't a huge issue, but still present. Should I really keep up with this 200 hour conditioning? It's not enjoyable to watch things in such dark pictures.
2- If I continue with it, will it be O.K to turn up the settings when it's done? I like to keep the contrast at 100, Sharp at 75, tint at 0, and the rest at 50. Right now everything except tint is at 50.
3- How long would it take for static images in games (or watermarks on TV) to cause a burn-in or ghost?
Additional advice for providing best maintenance to my TV is appreciated.
