What are some ways which the civilization could end?

I don't mean the planet. I mean, humanity, or the USA, or Western civilization, what are some scenarios?
 
I'm going with a major flu pandemic, personally. Look at the bird flu, it's one mutation away from becoming a human to human pathogen, with no vaccine, no cure, high mortality rate, and easy mode of transfer. Once millions die from that, the rest will kill each other off in a chaotic apocolyptic third world war.You know someone has a nuclear trigger finger.
 
Definately global warming...because all the ice thats melting it can flood areas. in places like australia, they are already the dryest continent and are going through the worst drought they have ever had because of global warming. If enough ice melts it can flood everywhere so yeah definately global warming =P
 
Take the latest outbreak of salmonella in peanut butter - it took them a long time to figure it out even though they had reports of illness in October. So, if someone contaminated a dozen sources of food with some highly deadly chemical, a huge portion of the population would die in a matter of weeks to months as long as the food sources are distributed nationwide and consumed by most people.
 
Nuclear holocaust, rampant global warming, asteroid hit, supervolcanic eruption, ya know all the usual stuff.
