We have a 20L gallon tank set up and running for the last 2 weeks. We are going to have it be a community tank but are stuck on ideas as noone can seem to agree on what to get. So far the only fish in the tank is the algeeater and my 6yr daughter wants guppies. Any suggestions on easy keeping tropical fish?
The algae eater's name starts with Ost and we were told he would stay small. we plan on getting on getting a couple of more but they be in until tuesday.
It's a 20 gallon tank and the oto algaeater is the one we picked out.

I agree that if your algae eater is a pleco, it needs a much larger tank. But if your algae eater is an Oto or a siamese algae eater, they both would appreciate a few more of their kind to keep them company.

You might want to chose a school of 6 of the same fish, like neon tetras, harlequin rasboras, guppies, phantom tetras... there are lots of fish that stay small.

Edit: a 20L gallon tank doesn't mean 20 liters, it means 20 gallons, long.
