...are young and brand new.? my black moor is 1.5 and male and my gold fantail is 1 inch and is female. i don't know much about them what size tank is best for 2. i cant get a big 1! and what names i should name them! all i know is that they like, personally like to be in a smallish space with a lot of fish of the same kind, should i get more? Oh and i do know how much to feed them. I NEED TIPS PLEASE!
 
Time out. They like to be kept in a smallish space??? Go find whoever told you that and kick them where it counts. Goldfish are very dirty and need a lot of space. The rule of thumb is 20 gallons for the first goldfish and 10 gallons more for each additional goldfish. For your 2 goldfish, you should have a 30 gallon minimum. They should also have aeration and heavy filtration. A well cared for goldfish should live 10-20 years. A poorly cared for goldfish will be blessed to survive more than 2. If you can't supply the necessary equipment to take care of your fish, you need to return them. The same goes for any pet. You should always do your research and have everything prepared BEFORE you get the pet.
