What are some things you want to discuss with someone before deciding to propose?

I have been with my girlfriend for 4 yrs, love her and am thinking about proposing but I want to be sure i know what im getting into. We've lived together for about 1.5 yrs and are very comfortable around each. We're both neat freaks and mostly busy. We both work 8 yrs a day, go to the gym for about 1.5 hrs, have certain other personal duties and hang for however long we can.

Heres the thing I want to ask some of these questions but am not entirley sure how cuz they might seem awkward if i burst them out randomly:
1) how much money do you exactly make
2) wat are ur future plans (career, travel, residential)
3) how would you feel about a family (how many kids do u want to have and how soon)
4) how the heck do we pay for a wedding (i can put up 20 grand of my own money tops and dont know how much they cost)-this probably should be after the proposla
5) wat else should i ask

p.s. for people that say love and emotion are the only things that matter, u people are frickin retarded. if either of u r financially unstable thats a disaster waiting to happen. also another person's career/work schedule means a lot
 
dude dude hey man take a chill pill this isn't some job interview with your financial consultant, it's your freakin future wife man.
and if you've been with her for 4 years, you'd know how much 'money she exactly makes' and you'd know everything from 1-4 i mean what are you really playin at here, coz what you're asking doesn't really make any sense if you've been with your woman and lived with her for that long and 4 years is pretty long.
if ur that worried about the money then don't propose, women hate cheap men
1 q, are you a jew? coz then id have everything figured
 
you need to find out if she has any debt. like credit cards, etc. if she has kids and they don't live with her find out if she owes any back child support. has she been married before? has she ever cheated on anyone before? oh, and if you are planning on moving out of state in your lifetime you will need to know if she would be willing to move. maybe she wouldn't want to leave her family.
