What are some things to take on a 2 or 3 day camping trip?

2 of my friends and I will be going camping for 2 or 3 days at a camp site 20 miles from our area. There will be running water, toilets, showers, a grill and a fire pit available and I have a tent we can bring.
What will we need? We don't need any expensive air mattresses, heated blankets or anything like that. We're willing to rough it for a few days. We're mostly going to be walking on trails, star gazing and hanging around the camp site.
What should we bring? I have the most camping experience and I've only been camping a few times when I was little. Some advice from experienced campers would be appreciated.
 
Cell Phone - Incase of an emergency
Lighter
Food :)
Knife
A gun if your into hunting
Anything that you'd want to bring that you think would help you have more fun
 
go to a camping shop and ask them. they'll give you the best advice, coz its their job
