What are some rules/tips for skateboard photography ?

So tomorrow I'm supposed to take some shots of my friend and we are taking skateboard/sport type of stuff . Though i would just like tips on angles ,what i should focus ..... , because sport photography is not my forte (heres what my photography looks like if you want to see : http://www.flickr.com/photos/annafur/ )

What would be the best time to take them light wise ?

As with all action and sports photography, shoot at the peak of action using a fast shutter speed.

You can play with slower shutter speeds and pan with the action to add the feeling of speed to your shots.
