i need to write some reasons why my principal should search our backpacks and lockers

He might find so much contraband and banned substances there that after he suspends all those kids there will be no one left in some classrooms.

There really isn't a good reason for a principal NOT to be able to search lockers and/or backpacks. I understand that a lot of students would say that it is an invasion of privacy, but lockers are school property and backpacks become property as well once they are brought on campus.

These things are searched for many reasons, but it all comes down to making the school a safe environment. Students who bring weapons, drugs or alcohol know that they are breaking a major rule, so they cannot be shocked if a principal gets word of this and looks for these items. They shouldn't be bringing these items on campus to begin with.

i see what your saying but thats not really right back packs become school property when yer on campus ? wtf its your bag you own it with your stuff so i dont see how it would come to become there property thats like saying yer on my ground i can search your pockets anything you own. also some locker you do pay to rent em and it gives you a right to not want some one to search your locker. like you rent a aparment does the landlord have the right to come in when he wants to search your house cause he thot there might be something illegal no and also cops dont even have the right they need warents and stuff to search.
