What are some really good themes in the Kite Runner? I cant think of any !!?

A can only think of words : Loyalty, Guilt, Redemption and sin, Frienship...

But a theme is more of a statement
I want to say something about how Hassan was so Loyal to Amir, but Amir wasnt loyal back..and because of that it haunted him throughout the rest of his life.

But i dont know how to put that into a statement?
Can anyone help me out, or think of any other themes ?

1. Loyalty/ Betrayal
2. Accepting defeat.
In The Kite Runner Amir said Hassan's eyes reminded him of the lambs while he was being raped. My opinion is that Hassan was accepting that Amir was not a real friend. Read chapters five and sic again. I hope I helped you.
