what are some of the physics principles used in a egg drop lab?

i am doing a egg drop project and im am done with my project but now i have to write a paper explaining in detail a description of the principles i incorporated into my design. not only that i have to add diagrams... so if anybody could help me come up with some principles i used that would be great!!!!
