What are some jobs involving environmental conservation?

I want to be as involved as possible in environmental conservation, I'll do anything to preserve planet Earth and the amazing animals inhabiting it. In regards to that, I have a couple of questions:
1) What are some jobs involving wildlife conservation?
I've heard of:
Wildlife photographer
Journalist (Environmental-related articles)
*Please include a bit about the above jobs, if possible

2) Which place in the world would be best to pursue a career in environmental conservation?
I've heard:
Africa (Please include where in Africa, is possible)
Australia (Once again, please include the area)
3) Are there any degrees you'd suggest in order to work in a job involving wildlife conservation?
(In the future, I plan to go to College of the Atlantic in Maine, its an extremely environmentally conscious school with degrees in human ecology as well as environmental conservation)

You can work for the EPA in the United States.

There are also many private legal organizations that help sue companies that do not comply with environmental standards.

Some good environmental degrees: astronomy (a lot of material on the ozone and atmophere), and geology.
