What are some good unit questions for the book Runaway Ralph?

My son is 8 and for homeschool is going to start reading the Ralph S. Mouse series.

I only have Runaway Ralph for him right now, so we are starting there.

Do you think it is ok to start in the middle of the series?

What are some good unit questions or activities to do with him along with this book?
