What are some good reasons to describe why an author is your favorite author?

I need reasons why Stephanie Meyer and James Patterson are my favorite authors.

(it's for a school project; I know why I like them, but it's just kind of hard to explain in a few bullet points)

Well, the thing is...any good quality a writer has couldn't really be used to describe SM...

I guess you're out of luck.
