I need something fairly simple, and easy to understand. I'm wanting to build a small veggie/herb window garden. Something that may have enough produce to can for winter supplies. Also, what are some good veggies/herbs to plant that could sustain a person in case of an emergency (winter storm, economical meltdown... you know, the usual business). Also, what are good supplies to have on hand that can be reusable in an extended emergency.
