What are some good exercises to prepare for it? we will be carrying 50 pound backpacks and hiking 5 miles a day.

Please answer quick. easy 10 points

Walk up and down hills with a backpack several times a week. Build up your time and miles until the trip begins. This will strengthen your body and give you good endurance.
You don't say how long you're going for, but 50 lbs seems like a lot. Try not to pack that much if you can avoid it. If you have a base maybe you can pack a daypack for the days you're not moving on to someplace else.
Have a great time. Sounds like a fun trip.
