What are some good California universities? 10 points to best answer?

Im looking into schools in california and i was wondering if some one could help me out with background information on some schools in california that i might be interested in.

i completed my freshman year at a small (5000 students) private university in florida with a 3.5 GPA.. i got a 1240 on my SAT back in highschool. im a capable student. psychology major.

So if someone could give me some ideas of schools to look into, it would be much appreciated.
schools in nice areas would be a priority, as well as nice, chill people.
 
southern california would be great for you since your from florida!

CSUN or UCLA are good schools and you could definetly get in with grades and scores like that!!
