What are some good art schools for illustration/comics and/or 2D animation?

I know SVA (NY) is good with illustration (don't know about animating), I know CalArts (CA/US) is good for animation (But they prefer Disney style), and I don't know what SCAD (GA) or CCS (MI) are good with.

My only real preferences are:
> in west half of the US, preferably not in the south, lol.
> Money's not really a problem, so I don't care if it's really expensive or not, but it'd be nice if it wasn't TOO expensive.
> It'd be AWESOME if I could major/minor in illustration and 2D animation (Hey, they're pretty similar), but if I can only major in one, that's fine too)

(Don't tell me to just google it, because you're not going to get points that way. :/ )

You named the top ones. Joe Kubert School in New Jersey is great for comics -- I mean fabulous -- but I don't know about animation. I would say SVA and CalArts are the schools you should really go to though, because they teach genuine aesthetics on top of everything else. You'll HATE a lot of the coursework -- but when you get out the stuff you hate will give you an edge on getting the jobs you want.
