I was wondering if anyone could list some fast motorcycles of the past...whether they are, cruiser, or sport-bike or a variation?
I've looked at alot of motorcycle books lately (old ones) and none of them really do a good job of listing fast motorcycles. Basically the books boil down to the history of the motorcycle, riding tips, an so on.

I like the look and feel of cruisers, however...they just aren't fast enough in my opinion. However, if you know of some that you feel are fast please feel free to list them.

I'm looking for USED..motorcycles. Motorcycles that will usually sell for no more than 4 or..5k at the very most.

I'm looking for 70's,80's,90's...and maybe 2000's if they are priced right. Looking for something over 60 hp, the faster the better.

Hopefully someone can suggest a forgotten gem or 2.

Thanks!

I had an '83 Honda V65 Magna. It was the cruizer style. One bike mag called it "The Baddest Bike You Ever Seen". That machine was so fast it scared me, even after riding it for two years. It could pull wheelis in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, gear without popping the clutch.

More radical bikes came along after that, but it was the monster of its day.
