...higher? I'm a baritone (low note F2, passagio around B-flat3, belting range B3-A4, highest in head voice F#5). I have a lot of trouble keeping my larynx down. I think it may be because I have such a high speaking pitch (like, around A3), and thus my larynx is used to being higher...? I've only been singing for about six months, so excuse me if I get my terminology incorrect, or if I seem kind of stupid/ignorant.
Also if one of you Lindquest/Classical-technique brand of singers chance upon this, if you know about the moving larynx down and forward thing during the passagio, please tell me more about it.
I also want to know about proper register placement, so I can, like, glissando up from chest to head without a nasty break in my voice.
Also, here is a good place to inform me of the the debate between the mixed voice and register placement, or whatever that is.
D'oh! "What are some exercises to keep the larynx in a neutral position when singing higher?" is what I meant to ask.
