Mr. Rose has dementia of the Alzheimer’s type. He is in the middle stage, needing help with bathing, toileting, meals and dressing. He is incontinent. They have a daughter in Toronto but they do not want to ask her for help because she has children, a busy career and is a single mother. Mrs. Rose is a stoic and does not like to complain. But she is very tired and finds herself short tempered, always tired and isolated.
