What are safe operating temperatures for Electronics During a outside investigations?

I have a upcoming investigation it is in a old Building I normally would not be to concerned but the temp is going to be well below zero. and I am not sure I want to power-up our recording equip in this temp. Thanks for your input
I am sorry I should have been alittle more specific I was refering to our electric recording equipment such as dvr and vhs recording we use generators and inverters for outside investigations as well as battery operated handhelds. Thanks Tomb raider
 
I agree with reiki chick, moisture is going to cause electronic malfunctions as well a false positives.

Most electronics can operate with sub-degree temps, but it's a matter of how accurate they are. Below-zero temps are also potentially hazerdous for your team, remember that too!
