I know it's too late for my broken knee!! but is body armour when mountain biking, effective, restrictive or comfortable to wear?

Have you had a crash and it's protected you from serious injury?

I would appreciate it to hear people's experiences.

When I recover over the coming months, I'm considering of investing in this equipment, and at this moment in time, I have lots of research time on my hands whilst sitting at home with my leg in plaster !!!!!!
Thanks so far, I do mountain biking through challenging forest trails so both downhill and uphill.

I use 661 protective gear sold by Pricepoint.com. They have shin guards and pressure suits when DH ing....You might not be in the cast you are in if you had been wearing something....NEED any more of a "PRO"? Not at all restrictive and even if it were, I have NEVER broken a bone or really been cut up that bad. Landed in a briar patch (blueberry) once and if not for the pressure suit it would have cut the hell out of me! The 661 chicken wing elbow pads took a beating but kept my arms in tact! Wear something, anything......You wont regret it!
