I am 18. a Male. I have a question pertaining to my rights: If I didn't want my parents to access my student records, how do I go about doing that? As in, I don't want them to know my grades, attendance records, classes, I don't want my teachers to email my parents about my class performance/grade information. ... etc. I was wondering if I qualify as an adult now that I am 18, or if the school has found some way around it. In no way am I demanding my rights or complaining as a kid. I have perfect grades, 2 jobs, and no reason for my parents to request this, I am just curious as to my rights as an 18-year-old male. thank you.
