What are my options for a winter garden in Ohio?

I live in Zone 5-6. I would like to continue my garden through the winter. I was wondering if anyone knew of any suitable plants (flowering or vegetable). I know I don't have many options.

I have heard that Snow Drops and Crocuses are good choices.

Any thoughts would be appreciated greatly!
