What are my chances of getting into the University of Washington?

I'm currently a junior in high school.

My GPA is about 3.76. I'm taking my first and only (so far) AP class this year which is AP English Language. I plan on taking AP Biology, AP English Literature, and perhaps AP Music Theory in my senior year.

I only have two extracurriculars so far, which are band and debate. I plan on taking on possibly three more throughout the rest of high school. I also plan on volunteering at my local Arts and Crafts Center throughout my junior year.

I haven't taken the SAT yet, but my PSAT score was 164 (51 in math, 53 in reading, 60 in writing).

The way I'm headed, what are my chances and what should I do to improve my chances of getting into the UW?

You probably have a very good chance of getting into the UW.

I live in Western Washington and my friends who wanted to get in all got in. And some even had AP scores of like 1 or 2 and a lower GPA than you.

As for extracurriculars, you seem to be on the right track. Those are really good ones and should boost your chances. Volunteering is a good idea too.

Just keep working hard in school. Don't slack off in senior year. Do well on your AP's. Keep up your GPA. Keep doing EC and volunteering.

With your PSAT score, I think you'll do fine on your SAT for UW as well.
