I'm a rising senior from Tennessee and so far I have a 3.84 GPA (unweighted), taking Honors classes. My school, unfortunately, doesn't offer AP, but it does offer joint enrollment with a local community college; I'll be taking some of these classes next year. I scored a 30 composite on the ACT, am a member of the National Honors Society, my school's Forensics Club, and the Beta Club, and began my tenure as captain of the Scholar's Bowl team last year (I've been a member since tenth grade, and since I joined we've won a local tournament, placed second in another, and placed third in yet another; additionally, we placed twelfth in the state last year). I founded the school's roleplaying club, which unfortunately proved short-lived, and created the Alternative Yearbook (which I really just circulate among my friends; nonetheless, I guess it could go toward my extracurricular credit). I've done very little in the way of community service, but I do help my mother teach a mock trial class for middle school students every year. My Scholar's Bowl coach- who is an alumna of UGA- has assured me that she will write a recommendation for me when the time comes. Finally, I've just returned from the Tennessee Governor's School for the Humanities, where I earned a college GPA of 4.0. So how good do my prospects look? What do I need to do to improve them?
